The Jewellery Trove List Of Frequently Asked Questions

As the Jewellery Trove is a fairly new company, there are going to be some things we may have neglected to mention. Or some things that weren't possible to include in the normal layout of this website. As things come up, we will of course, keep you informed. And if you do want any help, we are here for you. In the meantime, we hope that your questions are answered within. 

Postage and Returns
What Are The Average Delivery Times?
We aim to turn things around within 3 days. Usually it's the next day delivery. We will send you confirmation once your purchase has been posted.
Can I Return My Purchase?
Yes, if you need to then of course you can. Please see our returns policy here 

Packaging
Do Any Pieces Have The Original Packaging?
Sadly none of the pieces, even the branded pieces, have the original packaging. Unless otherwise stated in the items listing. And if so, you will see an image of it.
Can I Request A Special Box?
Of course you can, and at no extra charge either. Just send an email once you've checked out, with your order number, and we will make the necessary arrangements for you. 
Does The Jewellery Come With A Box?
All the jewellery comes in lovely packaging, not a hard box (easier for postage), so you won't be disappointed. If the purchase is a gift, then you won't need to repackage it. We've got you covered. 

Customisation and Sizing
Can I Have My Piece Of Jewellery Customised? 
It really does depend what it is. Some, not all, rings can be resized. Some pieces can have engraving. Anything that’s possible we can do.

Authenticity
Is Everything Hallmarked?
You will notice in the item's description that there is a "hallmark" section. If it says yes, then it has a British hallmark. If it says "Stamped" or "Tested" then it has been double checked with our X-ray gun, the Thermo Scientific XRF Analyser, which looks like this. We stand by all the pieces we have listed and their content of gold or silver. 

Special Requests
Can You Find Me Something Not Listed?
With over 45 years combined experience in the jewellery trade, we have plenty of connections in all areas of the industry. So if there is a specific charm. or a specific piece of jewellery you're after, we can probably locate it for you. 

Polishing
Will My Item Come Freshly Polished?

Being pre loved, not everything will look brand new. However for a nominal extra charge, which you can select at check out, we will polish your item if you want it to look brand new. Please remember though, for most of our clients, the allure is to have a vintage piece of jewellery and having it not polished is part of the appeal. 

Attachments
Will My Charm Come With A Jump Ring?
In order to attach a charm to a charm bracelet, it would need to have a hoop. Otherwise known as a jump ring. Even if you can't see one on a charm in the photos, we will make sure your piece is sent with a jump ring. This will save you money when you take it to your jeweller to have it attached. 
Can I Send You My Charm Bracelet To Have The Charm Soldered On? 
If you would prefer for us to attach (solder) your new charm to your charm bracelet, then please email us after your purchase. We would be happy to offer this service and will discuss the cost on a case by case basis.
